Friday Updates

First off, we wanted to remind anyone in the Metro Detroit area that Penguicon will be this weekend. Michael will be roaming around all weekend, as will a number of Dragon’s Roost Press authors including Mary Lynne Gibbs, Jen Haeger, and Ken MacGregor. Look for us in panels, doing readings, and in the Writer’s Block.

Michael will only be doing one panel this year (shocking!): So, You Want To Edit An Anthology with Ken at 1500 on Saturday 27 April in Salon II. No hecklers, please.

A big thank you to everyone who has already filled out their BakerKit surveys for the The Pleasure in Pain Kickstarter campaign. Over 75% of the surveys are back already. We plan on closing the surveys in 2 weeks, so get those answers to us so we can get your rewards to you! We are looking forward to hearing how you like the book.

And speaking of The Pleasure in Pain, we recently received another FIVE STAR REVIEW.

“Let them watch on, voyeurists of brutal euphoria, and tell me there is no beauty in destruction.”

I LOVED this book. Stories, worlds apart, interwoven by sanguine threads. I was caught in a rapid cycle of disgust, desire, and delight from start to finish.

It features so many new-to-me authors as well as some familiar favorites.

If you enjoyed Brute edited by Steve Berman, I bet you’ll love this book, too.

Hope you are all having great weekends.
