Oh, By The Way, I Started A Substack

Ages ago I had a personal website where I shared reviews, news and random thoughts. There were two blogs, one about writing (and eventually publishing) and one personal one. The later was essentially an extension of an e-mail ‘zine I used to send out called They Napalmed My Shrubbery This Morning. The program I was using at the time went belly up, which forced me to save all of the information on that site, learn a new program, and start over.

Then the company who made the second program went bankrupt and the program became a buggy mess. With no support, I was forced to try a different one.

A couple years later that one burnt down, fell over, and sank into the swamp. But the fourth one — well, that one I devoted almost solely to Dragon’s Roost Press (hint, you’re reading it now). While I occasionally post personal things on here, I’ve tried to keep it mostly professional.

Time is a wheel and all things come around again and I started a Substack. Yep, I’ve gone back to sending things right to your e-mail (or you can read it on-line). I’ve named it Dragon Scratchings because, you know branding. While there will be stuff about the  business there, it will be a more light-hearted, personal collection of writing. I generally discuss some random things, provide information on what I am reading and watching, and then include a short essay. I may eventually expand this to include sneak previews of what I am working on, writing-wise.
